Akshay Kumar brushes his teeth with a comb on World Laughter Day; trolls call it a result of eating paan masala
Akshay Kumar created music using a comb and his teeth to make fans laugh on World Laughter Day. Sadly his attempt failed because netizens trolled him by connecting the video to his recent Vimal Elaichi advertisement.
Last month, Akshay Kumar made headlines when he joined Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn in an advertisement of Vimal Elaichi. Netizens took screenshots from the video and made memes, trolling the Khiladi for promoting the paan masala brand despite featuring in a popular anti-tobacco ad which plays in theatres right before most films. A few days later the superstar decided to step back and apologized to his fans as well as well-wishers. He went on to promise that he will be extremely mindful in making his future choices.
Well, trolls are not ready to let it go yet and the comments under Akshay’s latest post are proof. The superstar took to his official social media handle to celebrate World Laughter Day with a funny video in which he is making music by brushing his teeth with a comb. In the caption below, Bollywood’s Khiladi wrote: “Key to happiness : to be able to laugh at yourself. And on that note, here’s an act which is a result of sheer boredom, hope it makes you laugh. Please do laugh, it was actually painful. And Happy #WorldLaughterDay.”
The video did make fans laugh but it also left trolls wondering if this is the result of consuming paan masala. One fan wrote, “Sahi hai, Vimal khanne ke baad ye kungi se daton ko ghisna padta hoga”, while another commented: “Vimal khane k baad, Daanth saaf krte hue Akshay Kumar.” Meanwhile, another user quoted Akshay’s anti-tobacco ad and wrote: “Herogiri fu fu karne me nahi thu thu karne mai hai.”
What was your first reaction when you saw Akshay’s funny video-- did it leave you in splits or did it remind you of his recent controversy?
