Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan starrer Sky Force to opt for Republic Day 2025 release? Find out

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has always been one of the busiest actors in the tinsel town. Thanks to his dedication and devotion to the craft, he manages to wrap up all his projects as per the time schedule. No wonder then, he always has his plates full whenever it's about his forthcoming films.

Speaking about Akshay Kumar’s forthcoming films, Sky Force happens to be one of them. For the unversed, the Akshay Kumar starrer Sky Force was initially scheduled to be released on October 2 this year. But, for reasons best known to the film’s makers, the film’s release eventually got postponed.

The latest update about the film is that the film will be now released on January 24, 2025, as per a source-based report in Bollywood Hungama. The said report that the film will now be released on Republic Day next year (January 26). The same report also added that, considering that the said film is a patriotic entertainer, the makers felt that it was the right time to be presented to the audience.

If one looks at the career graph of Akshay Kumar, one will see that the films which have been released during the Republic Day week have always proved lucky for him and beneficial at the box office. These films include Elaan, Kakee, Baby and even Airlift.

As for Akshay Kumar, his latest release at the box office was Khel Khel Mein, which also starred Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Ammy Virk and others. The film was released alongside Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 and John Abraham, Sharvari starrer Vedaa.

It’s a co-incidence of sorts that, even though the Akshay Kumar starrer Khel Khel Mein did not meet up with the success which was expected of it, the other Akshay Kumar film Stree 2 has set the box office on fire, right from the time it had got released. For all those who have not seen Stree 2 and are wondering as to what is Akshay Kumar doing in the Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao’s film, let us tell you that he is seen in an extremely strong cameo, who can be rightly termed as ‘one of the key elements’ of the film!

As for the film Sky Force, besides Akshay Kumar, it also stars Nimrat Kaur, Sara Ali Khan and Veer Pahariya in all-important roles. While the film has been directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, it has been produced by Amar Kaushik, Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande.
