Film producer and Studio Green CEO Dhananjayan has revealed that Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar saw some footage of Kanguva. He noted that Ajith was impressed with what director Siva has achieved with Kanguva visually and expressed his happiness for him. He also revealed that Ajith is in talks with Siva to work with him on his next movie.

Kanguva, starring Suriya in the lead role, is one of the most expensive movies made in Tamil cinema. This film is touted to be uncharted territory for director Siva, who built a successful career directing over-the-top action movies with melodramatic themes. It came as a big surprise when it was announced that he would be making a prehistoric action drama on a scale that rivals the likes of KGF and Baahubali.

Siva also shares a great camaraderie with Ajith. It wouldn't be wrong to say that Ajith played an instrumental role in solidifying Siva's directorial career in Tamil cinema. Siva consecutively did four movies with Ajith: Veeram, Vedalam, Vivegam, and Viswasam. All his movies with Ajith were big hits at the box office, even though some garnered mixed reactions.

In the meantime, Kanguva is in post-production. Siva seems to have planned to complete the remaining work on the movie by the end of August.

Kanguva has generated massive buzz among movie buffs, and the filmmakers have planned grand promotional events to capitalize on it.

Dhananjayan earlier revealed that the producers are waiting for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections to get over to announce their release plans. They have planned a massive promotion not just in South India but even in the Hindi heartlands. The filmmaker claims that with Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani playing key roles in the movie, it has already created a lot of buzz in North India.
