Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham turns 13; Rohit Shetty shares heartfelt post on ‘33 years of brotherhood’ | Check out video

Ajay Devgn-starrer Singham was released in 2011. The blockbuster film directed by Rohit Shetty gave rise to a successful franchise that continues to entertain the audience with a mix of action and drama. As the film turns 13, director Rohit Shetty shared a special post on his social media handle.

Singham turns 13

Taking to Instagram, Rohit shared a video dedicated to his highly successful film Singham. The video begins with the words, ‘Today we complete 13 years of Singham.’ With a slideshow of pictures featuring Rohit and Ajay from the sets of Singham. Later the words, ‘And look at the magic of destiny’ appear on screen. He added that today is also special because the team has wrapped up shooting Singham Again with Ajay.

The video adds that this (Singham Again) is the director’s 13th film but his journey began in the 90s when he was working under him (Ajay). With the video featuring clips from 33 years ago to today, Rohit showcases his journey in the film industry with Ajay. He added, “33 years later, we are still going strong.”

The video adds that his film Singham Again will release this Diwali. He captioned the post, “13 years of Singham, 33 years of brotherhood @ajaydevgn #SinghamAgain.”

Singham fans react

Rohit’s fans and friends from the industry congratulated the director on his milestone. Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim wrote, “Beautiful Video… Hardwork, Passion & Emotion,” while television actor Mohit Malik commented with a red heart emoji. “All time fav cops movie Singham series thanks to Rohit sir,” added another.

Singham was released in 2011, starring Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal portraying the tale of a police officer. The film gave rise to a successful franchise with its sequel film titled Singham Returns, starring Ajay with Kareena Kapoor Khan. Now, the third part of the franchise Singham Again is set to be released on Diwali this year. Starring Ajay, Kareena, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Tiger Shroff among others, the film features actor Arjun Kapoor as the antagonist.
