Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid 2’s release date announced! Here's when the film will hit the big screen

The year was 2018 when the Ajay Devgn starrer Raid was released. Little did anyone know that the film will eventually go onto become one of the biggest box office successes of that time. Right from the performances to the script to the direction to almost everything else contributed towards the film’s runaway success at the box office. Buoyed by the film’s success, the makers have now announced its sequel, titled Raid 2.

The announcement was shared by the well-known trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media. He posted, AJAY DEVGN - RITEISH DESHMUKH - VAANI KAPOOR: 'RAID 2' RELEASE DATE LOCKED... #Raid2 - starring #AjayDevgn as IRS Officer #AmayPatnaik - to arrive in *cinemas* next year: 21 Feb 2025... Directed by #RajkumarGupta’.

In the same tweet, he also mentioned (read ‘revealed’) that the film will see Riteish Deshmukh portraying the role of an antagonist... Additionally, the film will also see the presence of Vaani Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor and that the film will be extensively filmed across Delhi and Lucknow. While the said film has been directed by Rajkumar Gupta, it is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and Krishan Kumar.

In no time of the said news was announced, there were many who took to the comments section and expressed their happiness over it. While one user wrote, ‘This is the best news I have come across the whole day. While on one hand, I am happy that my fave Ajay devgn will be seen again in the role of a raid officer, on the other hand, I am also happy to see my other fave Riteish Deshmukh playing the role of a negative character’, another user wrote, ‘its nice to see Riteish Deshmukh in a negative role after Ek Villain. Am looking forward to the film’.
