    Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived alone to cast her vote in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Mumbai, despite a wrist injury

    Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who is back in the country after walking the Cannes red carpet, stepped outside her house in Mumbai to cast her vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The actress stood in line alone to cast her vote as the Bachchan family was absent from the scene. In another video, actor Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan were seen entering the polling booth, without their children, actor Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan and grandchildren, Navya Naveli Nanda and Agastya Nanda.

    The paparazzi took to Instagram and shared a video of Aishwarya arriving at the polling booth to cast her vote. In the video, Aishwarya is standing in line while wearing a white oversized shirt, styled with denim pants and black sunglasses. The actress was also seen wearing a gear to protect her broken wrist. After coming outside of the polling booth station, the actress posed for the paparazzi and flaunted her fingernail which featured the blue mark.

    "However, she was adamant that she wanted to keep her Cannes tradition going. Thus, even after the injury, she completed her professional commitments and made it to Cannes," a source told HT.

    Aishwarya’s presence in Cannes caused a rift on the internet as she was trolled for her outfit choices which were not liked by the audience. The actress was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan during her Cannes visit which also made headlines. Now, Aishwarya casting the vote alone has grabbed netizens' attention as the Bachchan family was missing from the scene.

    Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan cast their vote

    Another paparazzi video showcased actor Amitabh Bachchan coming to the polling booth to cast his vote. Dressed in a white kurta pajama, topped with a beige vest, the actor looked dapper as usual. He completed his look with black shades and a messy hairdo. Though his wife Jaya Bachchan was not captured stepping outside of the car, she was later seen walking with Big B as he was about to enter the booth.
