After Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Shraddha Kapoor to reunite with Kartik Aaryan in Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion

Ever since Kartik Aaryan and Shraddha Kapoor shared a brief screen time together in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, fans wished to see both in a full-fledged film as lead actors. Seems like their wish would come true as film producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Kabir Khan are keen on taking Shraddha as the leading lady in their upcoming film, Chandu Champion starring Kartik.

According to a source close to Bollywood Hungama, Shraddha is excited about the project too. However, the makers have not yet signed any contract and are only in talks with the actress. “Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan are scouting for a leading lady and they are keen on Shraddha Kapoor playing the role. The actress is excited about the project too. As of now, she is the lead in the race. Currently, Sajid and Shraddha are in talks and working out on the modalities,” said the source.

Though the makers have not divulged many details about the film, it is reported that Chandu Champion is a sports drama. However, it is being said that the film will have good VFX time and hence a considerable amount of time is saved for the post-production works. Both Sajid and Kabir have high hopes for their upcoming project and see it as a landmark in their career.

For the unversed, Kartik made a cameo appearance in Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. Earlier, it was speculated that Shraddha may come on board with Kartik in Aashiqui 3, however, there has been no major development in the project.

Meanwhile, besides Chandu Champion, Kartik will next be seen in Hansal Mehta’s Captain India. He has also signed up for the third instalment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. On the other hand, Shraddha will next be seen in Stree 2 alongside Rajkummar Rao. She also has Naagin in the pipeline.
