The 2018 biographical drama Sanju which was based on the life of controversial actor Sanjay Dutt is still hailed as one of the best movies of Ranbir Kapoor. The actor had blown everyone off with his portrayal of the Munnabhai MBBS actor. The film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and now in a recent interview, the filmmaker has hinted that he would like to collaborate with the actor again. Yes, you heard it right! We might see the blockbuster duo teaming up once again in the future.
In an interview with India Today, when asked about Ranbir, Hirani said, “Ranbir is an absolute sweetheart. We had a great time making Sanju. I would definitely love to do another film with him. There a few scripts with me and we are in touch. So let’s see where this goes. Sometimes, it happens that you start writing a particular script and it doesn’t go anywhere and then you start another one and it becomes something. So yes, I love Ranbir (smiles).”
Well, we are also manifesting along with the director for the same. The movie also starred Paresh Rawal as Sanjay’s father and legendary actor-politician Sunil Dutt and Dia Mirza as the actor’s wife Maanyata Dutt. Furthermore, the movie starred Vicky Kaushal as Sanjay’s close friend Kamli. The film also starred Jim Sarbh, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma in pivotal roles. The film raged a storm at the box office. According to a news report in Sacnilk, it minted Rs 342.57 crore in the Indian box office and Rs 588.5 crore worldwide.
Meanwhile, Ranbir is basking in the success of Animal which is still going strong at the box office after completing a month of its release. The movie has managed to garner Rs 541.87 crore in the Indian box office. Rajkumar’s first film with Shah Rukh Khan, Dunki has also been positively received by the masses.
