Aamir Khan Ghajini 2
Aamir Khan’s ambitious Hindi remake of Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha tanked at the box office leaving him reportedly dejected. Not only this but the superstar also announced a break from acting after the same and opted out from a film which was to be helmed by R Prasanna. However, now the reports suggest that the actor is bouncing back to work and might have started hustling around his next project, one of which is said to be the sequel to his 2008 super hit revenge drama Ghajini.
According to a news report in Peeping Moon, Aamir Khan is keen to collaborate with ace South producer Allu Aravind for Ghajini 2. The report stated that Aamir has been visiting Hyderabad on multiple occasions lately to start work on the project. A source close to the development revealed to the publication, “Aamir Khan is discussing a project with producer Allu Aravind of Geetha Arts, and they met last week again for the same. They have discussed several project ideas and are eager to work together. But at this point, it is just a mere conversation, with no concrete development so far.”
The source added that Ghajini 2 is the main project which has been in the middle of the discussion between Allu Aravind and Aamir Khan amidst other potential films. The report furthermore stated that Aravind has a basic idea for Ghajini 2 and is interested to start working on it with Aamir. Well, the excitement is palpable since the actor-producer duo is discussing how to take the main protagonist of Ghajini Sanjay Singhania’s story forward in the sequel.
The source was further quoted to reveal, “Aamir and Allu Aravind have met on numerous occasions during the last 4-5 months. However, everything has been kept so secretive that nobody is aware of what is actually cooking. Ghajini 2 is definitely one of the projects under consideration, but it's not yet certain what the other projects are. When things fall into place, we might learn about some developments, but for the time being, it's all been kept under wraps.”
Well, if this works out, this will surely be great news for all the Aamir Khan fans out there. Given the craze for Ghajini, the sequel might also bring Aamir back on track after the disappointing results of Laal Singh Chaddha. The 2008 film was directed by AR Murugadoss and marked the Bollywood debut of Asin.
