After Bachchhan Paandey, Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi reunite for Jolly LLB 3; deets inside

Much to the fans’ delight, Akshay Kumar is returning with the third instalment of the Jolly LLB franchise. And this time, Arshad Warsi, who headlined the first part, will be teaming up with him, promising a double treat for fans. The upcoming film is expected to go on the floors next year, i.e. 2024.

For the unversed, Jolly LLB is a black comedy film which revolves around the life of Advocate Jagdish Tyagi played by Arshad back in 2013. Helmed by Subhash Kapoor, the film also features Boman Irani and Amrita Rao. Later in the 2017 film Jolly LLB 2, Akshay Kumar played the titular role of a lawyer named Jagdishwar Mishra. Huma Qureshi, Kumud Mishra and Anuu Kapoor were also part of the cast. Both films were a commercial success.

The makers have planned the third instalment of Jolly LLB with Akshay, Arshad and Saurabh Shukla. In a recent interview with TellyChakkar, Arshad confirmed it. Further, he also shared an update on Munnabhai, Golmaal and Dhamaal sequels. “Munna Bhai 3 is not happening; Sanjay (Dutt) and I want it to happen, Raju (Hirani) wants to make it and Vidhu (Vinod Chopra) wants to produce it. But for now, it’s not happening. Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay is happening. The writer of Dhamaal called me and said that he is working on the next. About Golmaal 5, I believe one day, Rohit (Shetty) will just call us to shoot the film in Goa. He can actually do that," he told the news portal.

Earlier, there were reports about Jolly LLB 3 plot that director Subhash had planned a face-off between the two Jollys. However, there was no confirmation of the same. Meanwhile, Jolly LLb 3 will not the first movie that will bring Akshay and Arshad together on screen. The actor duo had earlier worked together in Farhad Samji’s action comedy film Bachchhan Paandey. The film also has Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Meanwhile, Arshad was seen in his recently released series Asur 2, in which he shares screen space with Barun Sobti. On the other hand, Akshay was last seen in Selfiee alongside Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty.
