Abhishek Bachchan schools a troll who asks him to let his wife Aishwarya Rai do more films
Abhishek recently took to Twitter to review the recently released period-drama Ponniyen Selvan 2 which features Aishwarya in the role of Nandini.
Actor Abhishek Bachchan often tackles trolls and naysayers quite smartly. In the latest, the actor defended himself when a troll seemingly blamed him for his wife Aishwarya Rai’s fewer films. On Saturday, he took to Twitter to review the recently released period-drama Ponniyen Selvan 2 which features Aishwarya in the role of Nandini. He wrote, “#PS2 is simply FANTASTIC!!! At a loss for words right now. So overwhelmed. Well done to the entire team #ManiRatnam @chiyaan @trishtrashers @actor_jayamravi @Karthi_Offl and the rest of the cast and crew. And so, so proud of the Mrs. Her best by far.”
Soon after his tweet, one of the users replied, “As you should! Now let her sign more movies and you take care of Aaradhya.” Abhishek was quick to notice the comment and gave a befitting reply that read, “Let her sign??? Sir, she certainly doesn’t need my permission to do anything. Especially something she loves.” Take a look at the Twitter interaction here:
For the unversed, Abhishek tied the knot with Aishwarya in 2007 in a lavish wedding ceremony at Bachchan's residence Pratiksha. The couple was blessed with a daughter Aaradhya in 2011. After marriage, Aishwarya appeared in movies like Guzaarish, Jodha Akbar, Raavan, Sarbjit, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Fanney Khan and Ponniyin Selvan to name a few. Talking about Ponniyen Selvan 2, the film is an adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy's five-part novel series of the same name, directed by Mani Ratnam. Besides Aishwarya, the film also has Karthi, Vikram, Trisha, and Sobhita Dhulipala in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Abhishek was last seen in a cameo appearance in Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa. He will next be seen in R. Balki’s Ghoomer alongside Saiyami Kher, Shabana Azmi, Angad Bedi and Shivendra Singh Dungarpur. The film also has Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance.
