Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare begin pre-wedding festivities; Mithila Palkar shares inside pics

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan will soon be tying the knot with her fiance Nupur Shikhare in January next year. Ahead of the wedding, the soon-to-be-married couple has begun their pre-wedding festivities. The inside pictures have surfaced online wherein Ira can be seen glowing in happiness in a red saree while Nupur is in a red kurta and a saafa.

Ira took to her Instagram stories and offered a glimpse into her Maharashtrian celebration where each of her family members and friends were in attendance. Aamir’s ex-wife Kiran Rao and their son Azad Rao were also seen in the photos. There is also a video enclosed wherein Ira can be heard saying, "My God guys, get married to a Maharashtrian and get a Kelvan. How fun is this?” However, Aamir wasn't visible in any photo or video. She also shared a glimpse of guests arriving at the airport for the wedding.

On the other hand, Ira’s close friend and actress Mithila Palkar took to her Instagram and also shared happy pictures with the bride-to-be and groom-to-be. She posed in a yellow salwar suit and gave a wide smile. “The wedding festivities have begun” “Let’s get you guys married,” she captioned the pictures.

Meanwhile, Ira and Nupur will reportedly be getting married on January 3, 2024. After dating for quite some time, the lovebirds got engaged in an intimate ceremony in Mumbai last year. The celebration was attended by their family members and close friends including Aamir, Kiran, Reena, Imran Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and others. Earlier talking about Ira’s wedding day, Aamir said that he would be very emotional and going to cry a lot.“Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai,” he told News18.

Workwise, Ira made her directorial debut with a theatrical adaptation of Euripides' Medea. She is the younger of Aamir Khan's two children with his first wife Reena Dutta. Aamir was later married to filmmaker Kiran Rao for 15 years and announced divorce in July 2021. They continue to co-parent their son, Azad.
