Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare to head off to Udaipur today (January 5) to kickstart their wedding festivities.

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan had a registry marriage with her longtime beau Nupur Shikhare in a ceremony held in the city on Wednesday (January 3). Now, the couple is all set to have a big fat wedding in Udaipur between January 8 to 10, 2024. The latest development suggests that their families head off to Rajasthan to kickstart the wedding festivities.
According to a news report in India Today, Aamir will return to Rajasthan after 12 years to begin preparing for his daughter’s wedding. Aamir, Ira, and Nupur along with the rest of the family are expected to arrive in Udaipur around 1:30 pm. Some eminent celebrities are also expected to be a part of the festivities which will be a three-day affair.
Apart from this, the reports further suggest that around 176 hotel rooms have been booked for the bride and groom’s families and guests. The wedding is expected to be attended by a whopping 260 people. The guests and relatives of Nupur and Ira are expected to start arriving by January 7, 2024. The venue is said to be the picturesque Taj Aravalli Resorts. Reportedly, the 3 Idiots actor has booked a luxurious glass box suite for himself which boasts a lovely panoramic view of the scenic beauty.
The couple will then have a lavish reception ceremony on January 13, 2024, in Mumbai’s BKC Jio Centre which will be attended by the who’s who of the industry. Meanwhile, Ira and Nupur’s registry marriage ceremony also grabbed several eyeballs especially because of their outfits. While Ira ditched the usual bridal lehenga with an embellished green blouse and dhoti pants along with flats and a watch, Nupur turned up in a Ganji and shorts for the ceremony. While some netizens praised the simplicity of the couple, others trolled them for making an alleged mockery of the wedding rituals.
