Aamir Khan spills the beans on Sitare Zameen Par, reveals daughter Ira Khan's wedding date

Aamir Khan is all set to come back on screen after the Laal Singh Chadha debacle. His forthcoming project is titled Sitare Zameen Par, which the actor said is ten steps ahead of his 2007 movie Taare Zameen Par. Not only this, the actor also unveiled the wedding date of his daughter Ira Khan in a recent media interaction.

Though Aamir did not share many details about Sitare Zameen Par, he said that the film would be a laughter riot. “I have not spoken about it publicly and I won't be able to say much now also. But I can tell the title. The title of the film is 'Sitare Zameen Par'. You must have remembered my film 'Taare Zameen Par' and the name of this film is 'Sitare Zameen Par' because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. 'Taare Zameen Par' was an emotional film. This film will make you laugh. That film made you cry, this one will entertain you," he told News18.

Aamir added that the film will take forward Taare Zameen Par theme, and will also have nine boys helping him out in the film. "But the theme is the same. That's why we kept this name very thoughtfully. We all have flaws, we all have weaknesses, but we all also have something special, so we are taking forward this theme, but this time, the character of the special child Ishaan in that film -my character helps that character in 'Taare Zameen Par'. In 'Sitare Zameen Par', those nine boys, who have their own issues, help me. It's the opposite,” he added. It is being said that Aamir will act and also produce the upcoming film.

Talking about Ira’s wedding with Nupur Shikhare, Aamir said that his daughter will be getting married on January 3, 2024. The actor also expressed his feelings ahead of the wedding. “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai (I get very emotional, I'm going to cry a lot that day, that's for sure). Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din (take care of Aamir that day)’ because I am very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears.” he said.

Meanwhile, Ira got engaged to Nupur on November 18 last year. The event took place in the presence of close friends and family members. For the unversed, Aamir shares daughter Ira with his ex-wife Reena Dutta.
