In a recent podcast, Aamir Khan addressed the topic of him getting remarried again for the third time and also at the age of 59 years!

Often referred to as the ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ of Bollywood, Aamir Khan was recently on a podcast with the spunky Rhea Chakraborty. This was one place, where he spoke (read ‘addressed’) about a lot of things under the sun. Besides discussing Aamir Khan’s professional life, the conversation between the duo also touched upon the superstar’s personal life as well.
When the topic came about of marriage, Aamir Khan was asked whether he was planning to get married for a third time. To which, pat came the reply from the ‘Taare Zameen Par’ actor. He said, “I am 59 now, where will I get married again, mushkil lag raha hai (looks difficult). I have so many relationships in my life right now. I have reconnected with my family, my kids, etc. I am very happy just being with people who are close to me. I am working towards being a better person.”
Around the same time, Aamir Khan also expressed his intentions to intensify his involvement in film production when he said that he planned to use his production house, Aamir Khan Productions as a platform to nurture and showcase new talent. On this, he said that he would like to be a platform through which people with talent, his kind of talent, the kind he liked could use him as a platform. He added that he hadn't thought this way until now, but now he felt that, instead of doing very little, he should do a lot of work in the remaining ten years.
In the same podcast, he also revealed that he was producing four films. He also revealed that, he may not act in it, but as a production house, that was the reason he was associated with Aparna Purohit, who is heading the company now. Talking about Aparna, he said that they could do a lot of work with her as their ideologies matched.

Rhea had auditioned for Laal Singh Chadha!
Aamir Khan revealed that even though Rhea had auditioned for Laal Singh Chadha, they had chosen Kareena Kapoor Khan (as the leading lady). To which, Rhea said that, she was so touched by Aamir’s message in which he had stated that, her audition was good. She went onto say that, its unlikely that any director pr producer would ever do that 9send a personal message praising about the audition!)

After saying that, it was really tough time that she had undergone and that not many people would be able to come out of it, he wished her all the best for the chapter 2 of her life!
He confessed of not giving time to his near and dear one for as many as 30 years!
Aamir confessed that, since the last 30 years, he had been so much engrossed into his work, that he was not able to give his time to them for as many as 30 years! Now that he is sorted out with his work-life balance, he will make up for the lost time. Most importantly, he wants to spend time with his mother.

He said that Junaid has not taken even a single thing from him., whatever he has, he has got it on his own merit. In the same breath, he added that, “Junaid has shown a lot of promise. I have seen him before he learned acting, and he wanted to learn theatre. When he told me that he wanted to be an actor, I was like ‘sure,’ but I also thought that he would be compared to me as soon as his first film released. The tag of being Aamir Khan’s son can’t be removed from him, and he will have to carry this burden”.
Ira battled depression
Aamir confessed that, while he was busy with his work and professional life, his daughter Ira Khan was battling depression. However, he added that, she is much better now.
Aamir Khan revealed he wanted to quit acting three years ago
He said that, even though his mother never complained about him not spending enough time with her, still, he could sense that she really wanted him to be with her. That’s when the moment came in his life when he thought of quitting acting three years ago, as he felt it was because of this, that he was not able to spend enough time with his family.
Aamir and his ‘solid breakdown’
In the podcast, Aamir said, “Even though I am a bit more sensitive to people and their emotional needs, there was a time when I started therapy. I went through solid breakdown. I was totally shattered when I went through my first breakdown. I was physically present, but, mentally, I was absent”. He added that, “I am not a loner, I need companionship. At this time, I am very close to Reena and also to Kiran. I cannot trust my own life; how can I trust someone else’s life!”
Decoding the ‘failure’ of Laal Singh Chadha
Aamir Khan said that, this was one film, in which him and his entire team had put in their sweat. While some liked it immensely, there were others who just did not like it because they could not feel the connect. He added that, it was his performance which let the film down, but he got to learn a lot from the film.
As for his professional front, Aamir Khan will now be soon seen in his home production Sitaare Zameen Par, which happens to be a sports drama that is based on the Spanish film Champions. The film will also feature Genelia Deshmukh in an all-important role. The film is being irected by RS Prasanna.
