Aamir Khan begins prep ahead of Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s Maharashtrian wedding; couple to have 2 receptions

Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan’s love story with her fiance Nupur Shikhare blossomed during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. What began as a professional relationship between a physical trainer and his student soon became a bond between soul mates. After getting engaged last year in Italy, the madly in love pair is now gearing up to tie the nuptial knot next week. That’s right! Pre-wedding festivities have begun and as an excited father of the bride, Aamir has been busy making calls to his close friends in the film industry to personally invite them for Ira and Nupur’s big day.

A report shared by News 18 reveals that Aamir is over the moon with joy and has invited several of his Bollywood friends to come and bless his daughter and soon to be son-in-law. Ira and Nupur will be getting married in a Maharashtrian ceremony on January 3rd, followed by two wedding receptions. A source was quoted saying, “The Khan family is elated as they’re going to start the new year with a bang. Ira and Nupur will get married on January 3 at Bandra’s plush Taj Lands End hotel. Following that, there will be two reception parties that will take place – one in Delhi and the other in Jaipur – between January 6 and 10.”

As we mentioned before, the pre-wedding festivities began earlier this week. Much to our delight, we got glimpses of the same from Ira’s good friend and actor Mithila Palkar’s official social media handle. Well, we can’t wait to get our hands on the wedding photos! Last year, heartwarming snaps from Ira and Nupur’s engagement party had taken the internet by storm. While Aamir’s dance video on his track ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ was a delight to watch, pictures of Ira’s cousin and former Bollywood heartthrob Imran Khan arriving were a sight for sore eyes.
