Aamir Khan all set to lead Lokesh Kanagaraj's next? Here’s what we know

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s last released film was Laal Singh Chaddha, which had him in the title role and the stunning Kareena Kapoor Khan playing the leading lady. Even though the film was an official Hindi remake of the cult Hollywood hit Forrest Gump (which had Tom Hanks playing the leading role), the sad part was that it did not fare as expected at the box office.

Post the mixed response to the film Laal Singh Chaddha, there were reports that Aamir Khan was extra careful and cautious about the next film that he will be a part of. As per the latest reports, it's being said that, Aamir Khan is now in talks with the southern ace filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mythri movies to be playing the leading man, as reported by Aakashavaani, a leading Telugu portal on social media.

The tweet which was uploaded by the aforementioned media had the caption, “BIG BREAKING - A Mindblowing Combo!! #AamirKhan, #LokeshKanagaraj and #MythriMovies are teaming up for a PAN India film soon. According to our very reliable sources, the project is CONFIRMED.”

In no time, social media seemed to be on fire with this deadly combination coming together. There were many users who took to social media to express their happiness about the combo of Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj in a single film! While one wrote, ‘This was the crossover which many thought would never happen. But, when its about Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj, anything can happen. Both are superstars in their own respective space’, there was another user who wrote, ‘OMG! I just don’t believe what I just read. Somebody please pinch me and tell me that I am not daydreaming. Two of my hot faves Aamir Khan and Lokesh Kanagaraj will be coming together in one frame.

There was another user who wrote, ‘This is the crossover of Bollywood and Tollywood that many were eagerly waiting for. While there is Atlee with Shah Rukh Khan, there is Vanga Sandeep with Ranbir Kapoor and now Lokesh Kanagaraj with Aamir Khan. I just hope Salman Khan also chooses a smash hit south director to make his pan India debut!

As for Lokesh Kanagaraj, while his last film was the smash hit Leo, which starred Vijay, he is busy working on Coolie. As for Aamir Khan, after Laal Singh Chaddha, he was seen in the role of a producer of Laapataa Ladies, which was directed by Kiran Rao. Aamir Khan is busy now with the shooting of Sitaare Zameen Par, which also stars Genelia Deshmukh.
