The 69th National Film Awards ceremony held in New Delhi today (October 17) saw the best performances of the year in Indian cinema being felicitated by the President Of India, Droupadi Murmu. While producer Karan Johar was honored for his patriotic biographical drama Shershaah, Allu Arjun received the Best Actor award for Pushpa. R Madhavan’s Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won in the Best Feature Film category.
Talking about the same, Allu Arjun opted for a cream-colored Sherwani for the occasion while R Madhavan looked dapper in a light grey formal wear. Karan Johar opted for an elegant black Sherwani. The inside pictures also show all the recipients of the National Award sitting and conversing with Madam President. According to a news report in ANI, R Madhavan also revealed to the media his sense of happiness after his movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect was felicitated. He said, “I feel very happy and proud. It is a lovely award. It feels gratifying.” Alia Bhatt furthermore said that she feels extremely grateful for bagging the Best Actress award for Gangubai Kathiawadi. Kriti Sanon said, “Just very very overwhelmed. I feel very blessed & grateful. It is a very special moment, especially for Mimi & also my parents were here watching me. I don't think I've felt this before.” While the Ganapath actress was seen bonding with Allu Arjun, Ranbir Kapoor was the ever-supportive husband to his wife Alia Bhatt.
