Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar is set to bring an extraordinary tale of bravery to the big screen with his upcoming film 120 Bahadur. The film based on the Battle of Rezang La where 120 soldiers stood against an army of thousands, promises to be a gripping tale of courage. Marking the 62nd anniversary of this heroic battle today (November 18), Farhan penned a note for the soldiers calling the film 120 Bahadur a ‘tribute to the valor and the indomitable spirit of Major Shaitan Singh and his brave men.’

Taking to Instagram, Farhan shared multiple posters of his upcoming film 120 Bahadur and paid tribute to the soldiers who fought the Battle of Rezang La. The poster features multiple soldiers involved in a battle. The text on the poster read, “18th November 1962. We remember the battle of Rezang La. 120 bravehearts stood against an army of thousands etching in blood and into history, the unparalleled valour of the Indian soldiers.”

In the caption, Farhan revealed that his film 120 Bahadur is a tribute to the valor and the indomitable spirit of Major Shaitan Singh and his brave men. He wrote, “It’s been 62 years since 1962. Today, we honor the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of the heroes of Rezang La. 120 Bahadur is our tribute to the valor and the indomitable spirit of Major Shaitan Singh and his brave men, who stood their ground against insurmountable odds. Their story echoes through time, reminding us of the price of freedom and the strength of unity, with a special salute to the Ahir community, whose sons displayed unmatched bravery in defending our nation.”

120 Bahadur depicts the story of Major Shaitan Singh PVC and also the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment who fought the Battle of Rezang La. Helmed by Razneesh Ghai, not much has been revealed about the film besides Farhan Akhtar’s association and the narrative of the film.
