Manasilaayo song from Vettaiyan is out
The first single from Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming movie Vettaiyan titled "Manasilaayo" was unveiled on Monday. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the dance number is in line with the typical celebratory songs seen in Rajinikanth movies.
The track is upbeat, with folk elements, offering a nostalgic throwback to the beloved actor-playback singer combo. Set against the backdrop of a festival in Kerala, "Manasilaayo" features a generous sprinkling of Malayalam words, speaks of communal harmony, and pays tribute to Rajinikanth's larger-than-life image.

Manju Warrier, who plays Rajinikanth's wife in the film, also joins in the celebration, dancing to the energetic beats of the song.
Notably, Anirudh has utilized AI technology to recreate the voice of the late playback singer Malaysia Vasudevan, who passed away in 2011. Thanks to this technology, the composer was able to bring Vasudevan's voice back to life, delighting Rajinikanth fans. Anirudh is the latest Tamil cinema composer to use AI for recreating the voices of late singers. Previously, Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman used AI to revive the voices of Bamba Bakya and Shahul Hameed in Rajinikanth's Lal Salaam. Recently, composer Yuvan Shankar Raja also employed the technology to recreate the voice of his late sister, Bhavatharini, in The Greatest of All Time.
Vettaiyan marks Anirudh's fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth. His music and background scores have often been credited for elevating even the simplest scenes in recent Tamil films.
The film is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions. In Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth plays a cop specializing in encounters. Gnanavel has promised that audiences will witness "a fresh dimension of Rajinikanth" in this movie. Vettaiyan is scheduled to release on October 10.
