Revealing the actor as Patrick, they have unveiled the first-look poster and a behind-the-scenes video from the sets, featuring him in a slightly different look.

Fahadh Faasil as Patrick in Vettaiyan

He is seen starstruck while meeting Amitabh Bachchan and having playful moments with superstar Rajinikanth. Fans have loved the video and are eager to see the versatile Malayalam actor on the big screen soon!

What does Patrick (aka Fahadh) play in Vettaiyan?

According to earlier reports, Fahadh will play a comedic role in Vettaiyan, marking a fresh departure from the serious characters he is known for. In this cop action drama, Fahadh’s humorous character will contrast with the villainous roles he typically portrays in Tamil cinema. Additionally, Rajinikanth will play a police officer fighting for justice, with Fahadh’s character likely serving as a close ally to the superstar in the TJ Gnanavel-directed film.

Directed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame, Vettaiyan is an upcoming action drama, that will be focusing on the education system, promising a hard-hitting story that exposes corruption within the system. Besides Rajinikanth and Fahadh Faasil, the film will feature Rana Daggubati, Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar, among others.

Vettaiyan is slated for a grand Dussehra release on October 10, 2024.
