While the peppy track has been well-received by audiences and fans, what caught everyone's attention was Thalapathy Vijay’s de-aged look. In the video, the actor looks significantly younger compared to other scenes in the film.
It has been confirmed that Meenakshi will be romancing the younger version of Vijay's character in the film. However, some fans found the de-aged facial structure of Vijay to be unusual, with many not being happy with the result.
Nonetheless, the final output will be revealed on the big screen when the film releases on September 5, 2024.
De-ageing technology used in The GOAT
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, The Greatest of All Time is the maiden collaboration between Vijay and the director. The movie has reportedly used digital de-ageing technology to show Vijay in the dual roles of father and son. It has also been reported that the team spent a whopping Rs 6 crore on the de-ageing process.
Besides Thalapathy Vijay, the movie features a stellar cast that includes Mohan, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Laila, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaran, Aravind Akash, and Ajmal Ameer.
The original score and songs are composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Siddhartha Nuni is handling the cinematography for the film, which is produced by AGS Entertainment.
