Pegged on parent-child emotions, the melodious song is being loved by fans who have been eagerly waiting for Vijay and the late singer Bhavatharini to pair up for a song. For the uninitiated, the duo had previously sung the song Oh Baby Baby from Kadhalukku Mariyadhai (1998), composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Now, Ilaiyaraaja’s son and Bhavatharini’s brother, Yuvan Shankar Raja, has decided to use AI to bring back the late singer’s vocals to life again!

Yuvan Shankar Raja pens emotional note over song release
Sharing the new song on social media, Yuvan wrote a heartfelt note dedicating the song to his late sister and singer Bhavatharini. The post read, “The second single from the movie GOAT is very special to me. Words can never fit to describe this feeling. The moment we were composing this song in Bangalore, Prabhu and I felt this song was for my sister. At that time, I thought to myself, once she's better and out of the hospital, we can record her voice, but an hour later, I got the news that she's no more.”
He continued, “Little did I know that she wouldn't make it, and I never thought I would be using her voice like this. I would sincerely like to thank the team and all the people involved in the process of making this happen. It is a very bittersweet moment for me.”
Bhavatharini passed away earlier this year after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Yuvan Shankar Raja had earlier mentioned that he had sought help from AI to generate Bhavatharini’s voice in the new song. However, the composer also pointed out that relying completely on AI could pose a threat to talent. “I was able to create complete lyrics for a song through ChatGPT, but a few years down the line, it's going to be challenging. In the GOAT film, I have created a song through AI with good intentions. However, when you think about the future, where you don't necessarily need a composer and just an AI tool, it is a little scary,” the composer revealed.
Slated to have a worldwide release on September 5, 2024, The Greatest Of All Time boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes Mic Mohan, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajmal Ameer.
