The Flash Movie will be premier today at Comicon, the movie has received overwhelmingly positive reactions in early test screenings, with the new head of DC Studios, James Gunn calling it one of the best superhero movies ever made.
In a recent interview director, Andy Muschietti talked about the movie's troubled production and that he believes that it helped improve the final product.
The Flash movie had one of the most troubled DC movies that had multiple issues before and after production has to be The Flash starring Ezra Miller. The movie had a troubled pre-production with many writers and directors dropping out of the project left and right.
Finally, the studio hired 'It' director Andy Muschietti to helm the project and rework the script and the movie finally began production in 2021.
When the movie finally wrapped production things seemed to be finally on track, but that's when the various allegations and arrests of lead actor Ezra Miller came to light and the movie's release kept getting pushed back multiple times.
But things seem to be finally falling into place for the movie, which will reboot the DCU and set up the new movie lineup from James Gunn and Peter Safran.
From the recently released first trailer of the movie, it is clear that it will have a similar plot to the critically acclaimed Flashpoint comics, in which Barrly Allen aka The Flash travels back in time to save his mother's life which creates an alternate timeline where the world is about to end.
We also know that Micheal Keaton's Batman and The Flash have to rescue her from a government facility and it is clear that since she was locked away in a dark room without any exposure to the yellow rays of the Earth's Sun, thus making her weak at least initially.
The Flash will hit theaters worldwide on June 16, 2023.
