Thaanara on OTT: When and where to watch Shine Tom Chacko’s film

Shine Tom Chacko featured in the lead role in Thaanara, a comedy drama which released in theatres in August 2024. Now, the film, directed by Haridas, is finally set to make its OTT premiere on Manorama Max soon.

Manorama Max has confirmed that the comedy drama film will be available for streaming on the platform on December 27, 2024. The film will be available in the original Malayalam language along with English subtitles.

Apart from Shine Tom Chacko, the film also features Aju Varghese, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Deepti Sati, and Chinnu Chandni in key roles in Thaanara (which translates to ‘Who are You’).

Raffi has written the script for the film, which has music by Gopi Sundar.

Shine Tom Chacko plays the lead role of a young politician Adarsh, who is married to Anjali, the daughter of the ex-home minister. Anjali does not trust her husband and ropes in a cop to monitor his activities. Thing take a more chaotic turn when a thief and another woman also enter the picture.

Though the trailer promised a hilarious comedy entertainer revolving around the married couple and other quirky characters, the film did not create much of an impression when it released in theatres earlier this year. It remains to be seen whether Thaanara will be able to win over the viewers upon its OTT debut.

Shine Tom Chacko’s films

The Malayalam actor was last seen in Koratala Siva's Devara Part 1, which starred Jr NTR in the lead role. Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor made her Telugu debut in the movie along with Saif Ali Khan. The action drama is available for streaming on Netflix.

Shine Tom Chacko was also part of Malayalam film Adios Amigo, which starred Asif Ali and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles.
