Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Box Office Day 1: Shahid Kapoor & Kriti Sanon starrer mints only Rs 6.5 crore

The Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was released into the theatres yesterday (February 9). However, the movie started on a dismal note wherein it has only garnered Rs 6.5 crore on its opening day. The film has been directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah.

According to a news report in Sacnilk, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has opened to Rs 6.5 crore but the collections might go up this Valentine’s Day weekend. The report further stated that the total Hindi occupancy of the film on Friday was 14.92%. While the morning shows of the film had an occupancy of 8.8%, the afternoon shows had 11.79%. The occupancy percentages increased during the evening and the night shows wherein it was 13.62% and 25.46% respectively. It will be interesting to see whether the collections tend to improve this weekend.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya revolves around a unique love story between a human and a humanoid robot. The film also stars Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia in the lead roles. It has been bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan, Laxman Utekar, and Jyoti Deshpande.

Desimartini’s review for the film read, “Director and writer duo Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah have attempted to create an endearing love story between a human and a humanoid robot that aims to tug at your heartstrings. However, the underlying message of a stark distinction between a human with real flesh, blood, and emotions and a mechanical machine is etched vividly. Not only is Aryan and SIFRA’s relationship curated in an honest and heartwarming manner, but the reaction of Aryan’s family towards the robot is also hilarious but adorable to watch. Despite being dysfunctional, they truly tend to believe this machine to be their ‘ideal Bahu’ with just one justification for her all-rounder tactics ie ‘America Se Hain.’ The comedy of errors which leads to a rather emotionally high-octane climax does not leave any dull moment.’
