Kannada superstar Sudeep’s decision to step down as the host of Bigg Boss Kannada after 11 successful seasons has sparked mixed reactions among fans. Many expressed disappointment, while speculations and rumours surrounding his exit spread rapidly on social media, with some suggesting friction between Sudeep and the show’s channel, Colors Kannada.
On Tuesday, Sudeep issued a clear and firm statement, putting an end to the rumours. He noted that the decision to leave was entirely his own and had nothing to do with any issues with the channel or the show’s producers. "I appreciate all the love and support coming my way regarding my tweet; it truly makes me feel cherished. However, I kindly ask those creating comments and videos to refrain from making assumptions about any conflicts between the channel and myself," Sudeep stated. He further added, "We have shared a long and positive journey, and the term 'disrespect' should not be associated with it. Any assumptions surrounding this issue are unfounded and lack justification."

Sudeep also spoke highly of the Bigg Boss Kannada team, particularly praising Prakash, the show’s director. "Prakash is an incredibly talented and energetic individual, and I hold a deep respect for him. My relationship with Colors has been wonderful, and they have always treated me with respect," he said, reinforcing that there was no conflict behind his exit. Sudeep was clear that he could not stand by while the team faced "unnecessary accusations."
Sudeep has been the face of Bigg Boss Kannada since its debut in 2013, when the first season aired on ETV Kannada before moving to Colors Kannada in later seasons. His charismatic presence as host has been a major draw for the show.
In an earlier statement, Sudeep thanked fans for their support throughout his journey on Bigg Boss Kannada. "It's been a great 10+1 years of travel together, and it's time for me to move on with what I need to do.
