Writer Vijayendra Prasad was recently part of a program called 'Masterclass by Mr. Vijayendra Prasad'. When a media person asked for an update on the Mahesh Babu-SS Rajamouli film SSMB29, the writer said that the shoot will commence in January 2025.

Vijayendra Prasad had earlier revealed that SSMB29 will borrow elements from the Hindu epic Ramayana. Mahesh Babu's character is said to share qualities with Lord Hanuman, particularly his ability to endure challenging conditions in the forest. The scriptwriter Prasad also described the film as a globe-trotting action-adventure filled with emotions, drawing comparisons to Steven Spielberg's Raiders of the Lost Ark. Additionally, the writer hinted that the movie would feature an open-ended climax, leaving room for a potential sequel.
