The event highlighted the growing popularity of Telugu cinema in North India. One of the most striking aspects of the trailer launch in Patna was the unprecedented crowd turnout, eclipsing the promotional events of many mainstream Bollywood films. Unlike the usual practice of hosting promotions in Mumbai, the decision to target Patna proved to be a masterstroke, leaving everyone amazed by the overwhelming response. This massive turnout also underscored Allu Arjun’s skyrocketing stardom in the Hindi heartlands.
Allu Arjun became a nationwide sensation after the massive success of Pushpa: The Rise, which was released in 2021. The Hindi-dubbed version was a surprise box-office hit and turned into a cultural phenomenon. Arjun's iconic one-liners, unique mannerisms, and the "Jhukega Nahi" catchphrase became the basis for endless memes, even influencing election campaigns in North India.
The producers have capitalized on the enormous popularity of Pushpa 1 by pulling out all the stops for Pushpa 2 promotions. The trailer launch event in Patna drew an unprecedented number of fans, creating a near-stampede situation.
The trailer has already garnered widespread acclaim from fans, further amplifying the anticipation for the movie. Written and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, and Dhanunjaya. The movie is set to release in cinemas worldwide on December 5.
