Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar recently opened up about his serious health condition, diagnosed earlier this year, showing remarkable strength despite the challenges. Though rumours about his health had been circulating, Shivarajkumar continued to work tirelessly on his films and make public appearances, dismissing speculations as baseless hearsay.
However, he has now decided to address the rumours directly, confirming his illness without revealing specific details. “I want the wishes of people,” he shared, explaining his decision to go public with his health struggle.

Recalling his initial reaction, Shivarajkumar admitted feeling both fearful and deeply concerned when he first learned of his diagnosis. Yet, with a supportive family and industry friends, he has faced the situation with courage and hope. "I was a little upset, wondering, 'Why me?' But everyone assured me not to worry,” he told Galatta Plus.
With a family deeply rooted in the medical profession—his daughter and son-in-law Dr. Dileep, a neurologist, are closely involved in his care—Shivarajkumar has been following a strict treatment protocol. Despite his initial fears, he remained committed to fulfilling his film obligations, telling doctors that he needed to complete his projects first. Even during treatment, he refused to tone down the intense action scenes in his upcoming film 45, giving his all to the performance. "Director Arjun Janya and the producer were moved to tears,” he recalled.
Shivarajkumar plans to complete several short shooting schedules, including a role in Telugu star Ram Charan's upcoming film, before heading to the USA for surgery in December. He noted that his doctor in the US has given him renewed confidence in overcoming this health challenge.
"Support from industry friends like Sudeep, Yash, and Dhuniya Vijay has been a source of strength," he added. Currently, he is busy promoting his upcoming film, Bhairathi Ranagal, set to release on November 15.
