Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon to reunite for Cocktail 2? Here's what we know

Homi Adajania's Cocktail starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty is one of the most loved films. Back in 2012, the film managed to impress the audience with its engaging and fun storyline. Now 13 years later, it is reported that the makers are set for a sequel. Reportedly, producer Dinesh Vijan, who enjoyed glorious success recently with Stree 2, is all set to bring Cocktail but with a new star cast. The report suggests that Shahid Kapoor will lead the sequel along with Kriti Sanon. 

A reunion for Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon

Earlier this year, Shahid and Kriti teamed up on a hit film titled Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. Fans loved watching the duo and their sizzling chemistry on the big screen. Now as per a fresh report, Cocktail 2 will also have a love triangle and the makers are in search of a second actress. A while ago, Pinkvilla reported that Shahid and Kriti have loved the script of the second installment of Cocktail and they are quite excited to reunite for another rom-com. 

For Cocktail 2, Vijan will be partnering with Luv Ranjan. The source shared, "Cocktail 2 is written by Luv Ranjan and the filmmaker will be involved through the entire creative process as a partner on the film. It’s a script that’s loaded with humour and light-hearted moments with the emotion of friendship at the core of it. Luv is a master of this genre, and the association of Luv and Dinoo is something to lookout for. The actors and the entire team of Cocktail is bullish on the film, as it’s a wholesome entertainer with two of the most likeable actors of the present generation – Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon."

The report further suggests that Cocktail 2 will go on floors in May 2025 and it will be directed by Homi Adajania. Apart from Shahid and Kriti, the makers are planning to bring a big ensemble on board. Shahid will begin shooting for the film after wrapping up Vishal Bhardwaj's untitled next while Kriti will wrap her other work commitments before taking over Cocktail 2.
