RRR will faceoff against Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick for Best Pitcure at the Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards

RRR is creating a lot of buzz at this year's Hollywood award season, after director SS Rajamouli's historic win as Best Director at this year's New York Film Critics Circle, and securing two nominations for the Golden Globes the movie has now managed to get four nominations at the Hollywood Critics Association Fim Awards.

They include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Action Film, and Best International Film. RRR also won the award the Spotlight Award

RRR was also nominated for four HCA Creative Arts Awards awards for Best Editing, Best Original Song, Best Stunts, and Best Visual Effects.

Bringing the total number of nominations to eight, which ties it for third place alongside The Banshees of Inisherin and The Woman King. The number one spot with sixteen nominations goes to Everything Everywhere All At Once followed by Top Gun: Maverick with ten nominations.

In the Best Picture category RRR will be going against some stiff competition from the nine other nominees, which include Avatar: The Way of Water, Elvis, Everything Everywhere All At Onc, The Banshees of Inisherin, The Fabelmans The Woman King Top Gun: Maverick and Women Talking.

Meanwhile, SS Raamouli is nominated alongside veteran Hollywood directors James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, and Martin McDonagh.

But the most interesting category has to be the Best Action Film category in which RRR is nominated alongside The Batman, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Top Gun: Maverick, and The Woman King.

RRR's biggest competition in the category is Top Gun: Maverick, which was one the biggest blockbusters of the year.

Meanwhile, The Academy Awards will begin voting for this year's nominees on January 12th, with the final list of nominees being announced on January 24th and the final award ceremony held on March 12, 2023.

Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards will be held on February 24, 2023.
