SS Rajamouli’s epic period drama RRR has shattered all the box office records to cross Rs 600 crore worldwide. The Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer has garnered Rs 50 crore on its sixth day of release. The magnum opus has also minted $10 million USD in North America which amounts to Rs 75 crore and its currently there on fifth position.
Film analyst Manobala Vijayabalan tweeted that RRR will soon cross movies like PK , Padmaavat , Dangal , and SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 in terms of box office collections in North America. Vijayabalan shared another tweet wherein he revealed how RRR has reached Rs 600 crore worldwide just in 6 days of its release. The total collections of the SS Rajamouli directorial film now come to Rs 621.42 crore. Earlier, RRR had grossed Rs 500 crore worldwide in just three days of release.
Talking about the per-day collection of the RRR Hindi version, the movie opened its account with a little more than Rs 20 crore at the box office. On the following weekend (Saturday and Sunday), the film collected Rs 24 crore and over Rs 31 crore to be precise. On Monday, it mints Rs 17 crore, taking the total collection close to Rs 100 crore.
The film was made on the budget of Rs 350 crore, while the remuneration of the lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR is said to be Rs 80 Crore each. On the other hand, the filmmaker SS Rajamouli has reportedly taken a whopping Rs 100 Crore as his remuneration fee. Meanwhile, the period drama RRR is a fictional tale that is based on the lives of freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. The film also stars Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in extended cameo appearances.
