The SS Rajamouli directorial epic Indian drama RRR has been roaring like a storm at the box office. After shattering many box office records in its first week itself, the movie is inching towards the Rs 1000 crore mark worldwide. The Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer is expected to achieve this glorious milestone by the end of this weekend.
RRR has also created a new record by crossing the Rs 100 crore mark in Telangana’s Nizam area. The movie has become the first of its kind to attain this achievement. Trade analyst Manobala Vijabalan took to his social media handle to tweet that the movie has collected Rs 939.41 crore in just 12 days of its release.
The film has minted Rs 10 crore on its 13th day and thus the total collection is now nearing Rs 950 crore. Film analyst Kaushik LM also took to his official Twitter handle to state about RRR’s record in Telangana’s Nizam area. His tweet read, “#RRR #RRRMovie Nizam area *theatrical share* smashes the 100 CR mark. A film doing a theatrical share of 100 CR in a single big territory/state is a Herculean task. In a major industry like Kollywood, no film has done even 90 CR (leave alone 100 CR) share in TN, to date.” Take a look at his tweet.
