‘Respect for Ramanand Sagar has gone up’: Netizens brutally troll Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s Adipurush on day one
Audiences’ reaction to Adipurush is the opposite of the love received by its trailer
Updated : October 20, 2023 05:24 PM ISTAudiences’ reaction to Adipurush is the opposite of the love received by its trailer
When the first look of Adipurush was launched in the form of a teaser, it received severe backlash from movie lovers. Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s chemistry was lauded but the VFX was deemed fit for Cartoon Network. The trailer got a much warmer reaction and fans were glad filmmaker Om Raut made the necessary changes. We sat and patiently waited to see the much awaited magnum opus on the big screen, even more intrigued because Saif Ali Khan only had a blink and miss scene in the trailer. Well, the audiences’ verdict is now out.
Sadly, it is the opposite of the love received by the trailer. Most of us expected Adipurush to be a masterpiece, which a few feel it is. However, majority of reactions on social media are negative to mixed. For instance, one netizen review read: “After watching visuals coming out of #Adipurush , My respect for Ramananda sagae has gone up 100x,26 years ago, without any technology and limited resources, he created magic, absolute magic which even after so many years remains unmatched. This is pathetic.” Meanwhile, another tweet read: “#Adipurush For the first time in my life, I'm feeling really bad for "Ravan". Just want to say it's a mockery of technology(VFX).”
#Adipurush is doing more damage to our history than glorifying it.

Om Raut gives "Once in a lifetime experience" a whole new meaning as he creates an experience that you'd never want to have in your lifetime again.
Om tried his best, to ruin careers of Prabhas & Saif.
Some good scenes, overall a Mess.#Adipurush #Adhipurush pic.twitter.com/VViqBBaEnQ

#Adipurush For the first time in my life, I'm feeling really bad for "Ravan". Just want to say it's a mockery of technology(VFX). India is on it's way to become a major hub for VFX production, but this is what we get in the name of creativity. pic.twitter.com/TKO2HlLXA5

Another fan review read: “#Adipurush is doing more damage to our history than glorifying it. Imagine having a budget of more than 600 crore and still making a crap movie like this!” Audiences are not happy with the VFX and are even more upset with the dialogues. A scene where Hanuman ji says ‘tel tere baap ka, aag bhi tere baap ki, aur jalegi bhi tere baap ki’ is especially being trolled. Sadly Adipurush failed to touch hearts unlike Raut’s 2020 blockbuster hit film Tanhaji.
After reading these Twitter reviews, are you planning to book your tickets for Adipurush this weekend?
