Red Sonja 1985
The Red Sonja reboot which has been stuck in production hell since 2008 is currently in and Millennium Media has shared the first look from the movie.
Matilda Lutz known for her role in the Netflix series Medici - The Magnificent and the 2017 thriller movie Revenge will be playing the lead.
Red Sonja is based on the character created by legendary fantasy writer Robert E. Howard was first adapted for the big screen in 1985 and was directed by Richard Fleischer and produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The movie takes place in the Hyborian Age and follows the adventures of a red-haired warrior called Red Sonja after her entire family was murdered before her eyes by merceries and she is left to die. Sonja is saved by the red goddess Scáthach and is granted her incredible fighting skills.

While the 1985 movie was a critical and commercial flop, it developed a cult following over the years, and the character would go on to get her own comic book series.
The reboot had been stuck in devolvement hell since 2008 with many directors having been attached to the project including Robert Rodriguez and Bryan Singer.
Millennium Media announced that the movie had officially started production in 2021 and currently filming is already underway at the Bulgarian Nu Boyana Studio with additional shoots at the Greek Nu Boyana Studio later this month with M. J. Bassett serving as director.
The rest of the cast includes Wallis Day, Robert Sheehan, Michael Bisping, Martyn Ford, Eliza Matengu, Manal El Feitury, and Katrina Durden.
We are sure to know more details about the project in the coming months.
