KGF Chapter 2 has been long awaited by fans and unfortunately the wait has only been extended due to the pandemic. The sequel to 2018 blockbuster starring Yash was made more exciting with Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon joining the cast.
Raveena who will be playing the Prime Minister in K.G.F Chapter 2 has now clarified rumours of her character being modeled on former Indian PM Indira Gandhi . Reacting to these reports Raveena has said in an interview that her character looks nothing like Indira Gandhi and is not based on the former PM.
“There is nothing about Indira Gandhiji in this movie. Neither is my look like her nor is my character inspired by her. Nor have we taken any such references. The film is based in the ’80s and because I play a prime minister in the film, there were many speculations which started that I play Indira Gandhiji in the movie,” Raveena told News 18 in an interview.
The actress is fresh from the success of her digital debut Aranyak where she plays a cop. Raveena's performance has been the highlight of the thriller and now has people looking forward to K.G.F Chapter 2 from which fans have already seen her first look.
The other Bollywood star in the film is Sanjay Dutt who plays the main antagonist Adheera. The actor’s intense first look has the internet intrigued and it is after a long time that Raveena and Sanjay are starring in a film.
Raveena has however, clarified that much like the fans who were excited at the news of their reunion, Sanjay and her were excited to have fun on sets of the movie but unfortunately they don’t have any scenes together and had diverse schedules. She further said that they even tried to work out an arrangement with director Prashanth Neel but were unfortunately unable to make it happen.
K.G.F Chapter 2 arrives in cinemas on April 14.
