Ranveer Singh on Jayeshbhai Jordaar's release: ‘Rulaygi nahi toh paisa wapas’

After 83 , Ranveer Singh is geared up for the release of his upcoming film Jayeshbahi Jordaar. The actor recently said that the film will surely make everyone cry and if not money will be refunded.
Ever since the announcement, Jayeshbhai Jordaar has been billed as one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Directed by Divyang Thakkar , the film is produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films . Touted to be a social comedy, the film features Ranveer in a never seen avatar of a Gujarati man who will be revolting against the patriarchal structure of society. The film also has Shalini Pandey in the female lead.
Recently, the Dil Dhadakane Do actor made a grand entry in a black tuxedo at the Femina Beautiful Indians 2022 event. It was during the media interaction when he was asked about Jayeshbhai Jordaar. To which he confidently said, “Aisi picture hain, rulaygi nahi toh paisa wapas”(This is such a picture, if not you will cry then money back).
The film also marks the reunion of Ranveer with his Band Baaja Baraat director Maneesh Sharma, who is also co-producing the film. Besides it, the filmmaker is also conceptualising the trailer of the film. According to Pinkvilla, he was quoted saying, “It has been my pleasure to have conceptualised the trailer of Jayeshbhai Jordaar promising a unique entertainer for a communal movie experience. It’s always a mix of pride and joy to collaborate with Ranveer. The early promise I sensed in Ranveer has been realized across the years and across genres. In Jayeshbhai, though, I see Ranveer delivering a tour de force performance that makes me marvel yet again at what artistic heights this fine actor is capable of achieving.”
Earlier, Jayeshbhai Jordaar was supposed to release in February, owing to the Omicron outbreak, the release date has been pushed to May 13. Apart from this, Ranveer will next feature in Rohit Shetty ’s Cirkus, Karan Johar ’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Shankar’s remake of Anniyan.
