Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh are reuniting after Gully Boy for Karan Johar ’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani . The two actors recently shot for an extensive schedule of the film in New Delhi and several pictures from sets have already found their way on social media. The film marks Karan Johar’s return to direction after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which released in 2016.

Fresh details about the plot of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani have emerged post the schedule wrap in New Delhi and if reports are anything to go by it will be a love story between a rich boy who falls for a middle class girl and how their family oppose to their relationship.

A source close to the production told India Today, that Alia will play a middle class girl and Ranveer will be the ‘waris’ of one Dhanlaxmi Enterprises who stays in a white House Gurgaon. Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan play Ranveer’s family while Shabana Azmi will be seen playing Alia’s mother in the film. It has been further said that Rocky and Rani’s love story in the film will see opposition from their family members who play a key role in the film.

It has further been said that the two actor will be seen sharing some steamy kisses on screen in the film. This is contrary to earlier reports which claimed that the two actors were reluctant in kissing each other due to their partners Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor respectively.

Alia and Ranveer’s pictures from their shoot at the Qutub Minar recently went viral on social media. While the actress who plays Rani was seen in a white saree, Ranveer as Rocky donned an eccentric look in a white jacket and ripped white jeans.

The film is currently under production and will release in cinemas in February 2023.
