Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra beats The Kashmir Files as the highest grossing Indian film of the year after its first week

Not only this but the film has managed to surpass Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files as the highest-grossing film of the year after its day 1 collections.
Talking about Brahmastra’s box office collections on its sixth day, the Ranbir Kapoor starrer minted Rs 10.30 crore to Rs 10.50 crore from all versions in the country. The dubbed versions of the Ayan Mukerji directorial went on to earn Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore while the Hindi version earned around Rs 9.50 crore. Brahmastra has managed to garner Rs 158.25 crore in totality after its 6th day and is expected to close at Rs 165 crore after its first week.
After its first week of collection, the movie also dethroned The Kashmir Files, enjoying the top spot for the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2022. The first-week collection of the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer is expected to cross the Rs 160 crore mark while the Vivek Agnihotri directorial had gone on to amass Rs 97.30 crore after its first week. Not only this but Brahmastra has easily also defeated Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also which was also in a coveted position when it comes to the top-grossing Bollywood films.
The horror-comedy film had earned Rs 14.11 crore after its 1st week. Now, looking at this steady and rather astounding pace, it will be exciting to see whether Brahmastra crosses the Rs 250 crore mark after its second week. The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna in the lead roles.
