Ramayan: Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravan; All you need to know about the stellar cast

All eyes are on the Nitesh Tiwari directorial Ramayan which is touted to be nothing less than a magnum opus. The movie will be curated as a trilogy and the first part is expected to go on floors soon. Here is all you need to know about the star cast of the movie, some of whom are confirmed while some are in talks with the makers before giving the green signal.

Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram - The actor will be essaying the role of Lord Ram in the movie based on the Indian epic. He is reportedly adhering to a strict prep session and a drastic change in his lifestyle to essay the role of such supreme magnitude.

Sai Pallavi as Devi Sita - Sai will be playing Lord Ram’s wife, the pious and revered Sita. Fans are looking forward to witnessing her chemistry with Ranbir in the movie.

Yash as Ravan - The KGF star will be playing the main antagonist Ravan. His intense aura, magnetic personality, and fierce screen presence make him perfect for the role.

Sunny Deol as Hanuman- The makers are in early talks with the veteran actor to play Lord Hanuman, the loyal disciple of Lord Ram. Sunny’s powerful command onscreen makes him the ideal choice for this character.

Bobby Deol as Kumbhakarna- After the success of Animal, Bobby is being flooded with meaty roles and the character of Kumbhakarna is one of them. However, the latest reports suggest that he is not a part of Ramayan but there’s no harm in manifesting.

Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi- If the latest reports are to be believed, Lara has given a nod to portray Queen Kaikeyi who was the third wife of King Dashrath, the father of Lord Ram. She was responsible for Ram, Laxman, and Sita going into exile for fourteen years.
