When you think of ‘lungi dance’ as a Hindi film lover, your mind automatically jumps to Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s chartbuster hit track from Chennai Express. Well, today we were introduced to another lungi dance by Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan in the latest song Yentamma from his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan . While it sadly isn’t as good as the OG lungi dance by SRK, it has one exciting element that made us watch it on a loop-- a supremely energetic cameo by South superstar Ram Charan .
Helmed by Vishal Dadlani and Payal Dev, the track is fun and the beats will make your foot tap. The music video is also colourful and introduces us to Salman and his co-star Pooja Hegde ’s on-screen family. But the song in itself is just average. Yes, the dance moves are energetic and the star cast has done a good job. But it doesn’t make you want to hear it again and again. However, towards the end comes the wow factor when Ram joins Salman and Venkatesh on the dance floor. In another segment, Pooja along with Salman and Ram dons a lungi.
Seeing Ram with Pooja, Salman and Venkatesh is absolutely refreshing. It is also the only saving grace of this track, which is no competition to SRK’s OG lungi dance. Nevertheless, we have high hopes for Bhaijaan’s upcoming action entertainer. Also starring Raghav Juyal, Jassie Gill and Siddharth Nigam as Salman’s on-screen brothers, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan marks Shweta Tiwari’s daughter Palak Tiwari and Shehnaaz Gill’s debut in the Hindi film industry. Directed by Farhad Samji, the film is all set to arrive in theatres on 21st April, on the occasion of Eid.
