Rajkummar Rao confirms joining Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan in Stree 2

When Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon launched the song Thumkeshwari from their upcoming film Bhediya , their chemistry won our hearts. The track was pretty good and the choreography was different than anything we have seen before. But the surprise package was Shraddha Kapoor ’s cameo, looking stunning as ever in red, as Stree . It came out of nowhere and left us wanting more! While this confirmed Stree 2 , recent reports revealed that Varun will also be a part of the sequel as Bhediya.

We are quite excited about seeing Shraddha and Varun together, as a part of the same horror comedy universe. But what about Rajkummar Rao , who headlined part 1 as tailor Vicky opposite Shraddha? Much to our delight, the actor has now confirmed that he will be returning in Stree 2 to win hearts yet again. Talking to Pinkvilla, Rajkummar shared, “Hopefully, Stree 2 will happen soon, and yes definitely there is a possibility of getting this horror universe made. It will be exciting.” And when will he begin shooting? Raj replied, “Hopefully soon.”

While Stree was a horror comedy based on urban legend Nale Ba, which was translated to ‘O Stree Kal Aana’ in the film, Varun and Kriti’s Bhediya is a monster comedy. Apart from these two, Janhvi Kapoor’s Roohi was also a part of Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe. The next two in line, after Stree 2, will be Stree’s prequel Munjha and a vampire film which will introduce Ayushmann Khurrana and Samantha Ruth Prabhu into this beloved universe.

Bhediya marks Kriti and Varun’s second film together after Rohit Shetty’s action comedy Dilwale, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The trailer of this monster comedy received a big thumbs up of from the audience, as it looked quite promising. We can’t wait to see Varun transform into a werewolf when Bhediya releases on 25th November.
