Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Dulquer Salmaan and more pay tribute to the late actor Manobala

The veteran and actor Mandobal are based away today in Chennai, the actor had been suffering from liver-related issues and had been undergoing treatment.
Manobala had acted in over 450 movies throughout his 35-year-long career. He made his acting debut in the 1979 Kamla Haasan starrer Puthiya Vaarpugal, in which he also worked as an assistant director to legendary director Bharathiraja.
In the year 1982, he made his directorial debut with the romantic drama Agaya Gangai. He would go on to direct 25 movies throughout his career of which the 1989 movie En Purushanthaan Enakku Mattumthaan was the most critically and commercially well reived and would go to be remade in Telugu and Hindi.
Many actors like Rajinikanth, Dulqueer Salmaan, and Vijay Sethuoathi paid their respects to the late actor via social media.

His last on-screen appearance was in the comedy-horror movie Ghosty in which he starred alongside Kajal Aggarwal, Yogi Babu, and Urvashi.
Manobala's posthumous appearance will be in the upcoming Thalapthy Vijay starrer Leo. which is directed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Leo will be the third installment in the Lokesh Kanagaraj Cinematic Inverse(LCU), after 2019's Kaithi and 2022's Vikram.
The movie is produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar and Jagadish Palanisamy under the banner Seven Screen Studio and reportedly has a budget of 300 crores.
Leo will hit theaters worldwide on 20 October 2023.
