Dhanush’s 50th film as an actor, Raayan, has been in the news ever since it hit the screens recently. Also directed by Dhanush, the gangster drama has been getting rave reviews from audiences, who have been celebrating the latest gem from Kollywood. Actor Prakash Raj, who plays a key role in the movie, heaped praise on Dhanush, crediting him for the film's success.
Praksh Raj plays a commissioner named Sargunam in the film. In his latest social media post, the veteran actor penned a heartfelt note thanking the audience. Raayan, which hit theatres on July 26, enjoyed a solo release in Tamil regions and opened to positive responses. Set in North Madras, Raayan revolves around a cook who seeks to avenge the deaths of his loved ones. The film is a retelling of the epic Ramayana, where Dhanush plays the role of Raavana, while SJ Suryah has a role similar to that of Lord Ram.
