With less than a month left until the release of the Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule, the anticipation surrounding the film is palpable. Going by the surge in advance bookings, the film seems poised to surpass its first installment by a massive margin. Allu Arjun's much-awaited action drama Pushpa 2: The Rule is scheduled to release on December 5, 2024.

According to the latest reports, Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, has been generating significant excitement in the USA, which is quite evident from the pre-sales figures. By the morning of November 5, ticket sales for premiere day shows had reached $315,311, and by the morning of November 6, collections surged to $423,367—a remarkable increase of $108,056 within 24 hours.
Advance bookings are now open at 726 locations, with over 15,000 tickets already sold. As per the latest updates from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film's advance bookings have collected $423K from 2,750 shows, surpassing the final premiere sales of the first installment, Pushpa: The Rise, which had grossed $400K.
The upcoming film has already secured the highest-ever pre-release business for an Indian movie, including theatrical and non-theatrical rights, amounting to over Rs 1,000 crore. Although advance booking in India will only commence as the release date nears, the movie is expected to deliver exceptional numbers, securing yet another blockbuster hit for Telugu superstar Allu Arjun.
Will Chhaava step back for Pushpa 2's solo release?
While Pushpa 2: The Rule is scheduled to compete with Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava on December 5, 2024, the makers of the Hindi historical spectacle are reportedly considering postponing its release. Reports suggest that Chhaava's producers are in talks to shift the film’s release date due to Pushpa 2: The Rule's strong box office projections for the year-end. However, an official confirmation is still awaited. Interestingly, both Pushpa 2 and Chhaava will feature Rashmika Mandanna in the role of female lead.
