Many actors and members of the film fraternity are paying tribute to the Veteran Malayalam actor whose career spans 6 decades, and the former member of Parliament Innocent who passed away yesterday.
His death has deeply saddened Malayalam movie fans worldwide. many celebrities like Prithviraj, Dulquer Salmaan , and Vijay Sethupathi paid their respects via social media.

Innocent being his acting career in 1972 with the movie Nrithasala, However, the actor's breakout year was 1989 when he won the Kerala State Award for his performances in Mazhavil Kavadi and Jaathakam.
The actor was born on March 4th, 1948 to Vareed Thekkethala and Margaret in Irinjalakuda, Kochi. The actor is considered one of the greatest comedians Malayalam cinema has ever produced.
Some of his most iconic comedic roles include Dr. Pasupathy, Mimics Parade, Kilukkam, Godfather, Ramji Rao Speaking', 'Mannar Mathai Speaking' and Chandralekha.
The actor showcased his dramatic range in the 1991 movie Keli where he played the cold and calculating villain Lazer who earned critical praise and is still considered one of the most unique and interesting villains in the history of Malayalam cinema.

he has been the acting president of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) since 2011. In 2014 he won the Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate.
His last big screen appearance was in the 2022 Prithviraj starrer Kaduva. He is survived by his Wife Alice and son Sonnet.
