The makers of Prabhudeva and Vedhika’s upcoming film Petta Rap have unveiled its trailer. Sharing it on social media, they wrote, "Dance...Fun...Vibe. Presenting the complete entertainment-filled trailer of #PettaRap featuring @PDdancing @Vedhika4u & @SunnyLeone!!" Directed by Malayalam filmmaker SJ Sinu, the film stars Prabhudeva, Vedhika, and Sunny Leone in key roles.

Prabhudeva in Petta Rap trailer
The trailer opens with an ambitious and passionate Prabhudeva aspiring to become a hero. While his father urges him to abandon his dreams and seek something more practical, his mother supports his desire to pursue acting. The trailer shows him facing rejections but remaining determined to achieve his dreams. It then transitions to stylish action sequences where he fights goons before finally getting his big break in front of the camera. The trailer promises fun and entertaining moments that are sure to keep audiences engaged. Vedhika and Sunny Leone also appear briefly in the trailer.

All you need to know about Petta Rap
The film’s title is inspired by Prabhudeva’s hit song "Petta Rap" from director Shankar’s romantic film Kadhalan. The movie is directed by S J Sinu, known for Malayalam films like Theru (2023) and Djibouti (2021). Petta Rap marks his Tamil directorial debut. Kannada actress Vedhika plays the female lead opposite the dance icon in what is expected to be a musical action film. The screenplay has been written by Dinil PK, with Jobi P Sam producing under Blue Hill Films in collaboration with Blue Hill Nael Communication.
Petta Rap is set for release on September 27, 2024, and will be clashing with Karthi’s Meiyazhagan and Jr NTR’s Devara at the box office.
Prabhudeva was last seen in Thalapathy Vijay’s sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All Time.
