When the teaser of OMG 2 released, we were all blown away. There were some netizens who created a controversy about Akshay Kumar playing Mahadev in the film. But the majority of fans were highly impressed by Bollywood’s Khiladi’s look, which gave us goosebumps especially when he emerged from the water. But there were some moments in the teaser which left us intrigued about the story. Like the scene where a young man gets run over by a train. It left us wondering what Pankaj Tripathi’s character had to do with the boy. Well, our doubts have now been cleared.
Not exactly but somewhat. Let us explain. A Reddit user has now revealed the plot of OMG 2 in their viral post. This particular post read: “A gay guy gets bullied in college & commits suicide. Hurt by it, the college professor (Pankaj Tripathi) tried to make sex education compulsory so that students could learn and bullying will reduce. The religious oppose it calling it ‘against God’s will’. The case follows with the help of Lord Shiva (Akshay Kumar).” Only time will tell whether this story line is true or not. But if this post is to be believed, then Akshay will be joining Pankaj in the film to fight against homophobia.
Ever since the teaser released, it has been in the news for the scene where Akshay is sitting at the railway station as his character of Lord Shiva. Water is being poured on his head and we see a crescent moon in the distance, right above his jata. This left many impressed, because the scene has been shot beautifully. Akshay’s smiling and peaceful face fills your heart with devotion. But many netizens were offended by this and even slammed the makers.
While Akshay will be seen as Mahadev in the film, Pankaj is playing the role of a loyal devotee. Yami Gautam, on the other hand, is portraying the character of a lawyer. Helmed by Amit Rai, OMG 2 is all set to arrive in theatres on 11th August.
