Not Alia Bhatt, but Animal was the reason why Ranbir & Shraddha couldn't promote Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar together

For the first time ever, the lead actors of a Bollywood film promoted their upcoming release individually. We are talking about Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor , who left no stones unturned to create excitement for their film, but they did it separately. Reports suggested that Ranbir’s wife Alia Bhatt was the reason behind this. It was claimed that she had apparently ‘restricted’ her husband. However, Ranbir had clarified that these were baseless rumours with no truth to them. Well, director Luv Ranjan has now revealed the real reason behind keeping Shraddha and Ranbir apart.

In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, the filmmaker shared that Ranbir is currently sporting a bearded look for his next film Animal. But Luv likes the actor’s image as Mickey from Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. So he feels that if Ranbir and Shraddha promoted the film together with his current look, the value of their fresh pairing will decrease. He explained that the on-screen chemistry can’t be recreated in normal events anyway. Well, that is understandable because this romantic comedy marks Ranbir and Shraddha’s first film together, which is one of the most intriguing facts about it.

Ranbir chimed in to joke, “Film chalti hai toh bolenge ‘Waah, kya marketing tha, Luv Ranjan genius hai’. Film nahi chalegi toh bolenge ‘Dekh tune alag alag kiya isliye nahi chali picture’.” Well, so far we can all agree that Luv is a genius because his marketing strategy did keep the film in the news and also raised our excitement to see Shraddha and Ranbir’s pairing in the rom com. On the box office front, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar saw a good opening day when it arrived in theatres. However, the film saw a dip on day 3 today.
